Our guide, in private car tour, called our hotel room a day in advance to confirm each pick up time. He spoke good English and gave us an interesting commentary on the sights as we drove 2 hours to Czestochowa. The monastery is being renovated so the walks and some buildings are torn up, so good walking shoes are needed. We hired a priest for a private English tour. He took us to the sights by routes open to him, told us when we could take photos, offered a fact filled commentary and was very cheerful, ending with a blessed prayer card for each of us. This was a high point of our visit to Poland.
