Auschwitz-Birkenau - the largest concentration and extermination camp founded by Nazi Germans, established in 1940 is a reminder of what happened in Europe during World War II. It is a place where minimum 1 million people died. Since 1979 it has been listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and it is the only place of this kind found on it. After the visit to Auschwitz and Birkenau or before it (the sequence varies depending on a particular day) head to Wieliczka Salt Mine. See carvings made out in the salt, sculptures, reliefs, chandeliers and chapels. This place is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, it teaches about the work of miners. There is 800 steps to take down (however there are stops on the way and handrails) and after the visit a lift brings you up. Dear traveler, from March 2020 there is a new law in Auschwitz-Birkenau and booking with a lot of time in advance is the only way to be sure about going on this tour. Buying the ticket directly there is almost impossible.

    Had a really lovely easy trip so much better with a private transfere our driver milo was amazing and really lovely! Made us feel at ease and gave us lots of info all the way there and back even dropped us back in the square and reccomend somewhere good to get food! When I revisit will deffo re use!

    Heart warming experience, sad yet touching. No words to explain it, however the lovely driver Tarek that drove us from Krakow to Auschwitz as well as the lovely tour guide throughout Auschwitz tour, was amazing. Recommend if visiting Poland.

    Thank you Michael for the amazing tour! I have been on a guided tour before and this was by far the best one. He was enthusiastic and very friendly. The facilities were really good too, with a comfortable bus, DVD for the journey about Auschwitz and air conditioning. This was also one of the best priced ones I found.
