Fabulous and interesting tour of these incredible Salt Mines. Our guide was great fun and very informative. Lots of steps going down but a lift for coming back up.

I'd book direct (£20 per person) and get a taxi.
Your ticket includes a tour & it means you can hang around and have good, coffee and look at the gift shop (and stalls outside afterwards)
Your guide great, wouldn't recommend if you struggle with steps. There's LOTS!!!
Would definitely go back with the kids.
Beautiful place .

I found this very dull, and wanted to leave, but you can't. There was a huge que to get the lift out, which was a metal box where they squeeze in too many people so you are crushed against strangers. It was scary and not in a fun way!
The history was boring, its a salt mine where nothing intresting happened and has been used as a tourist attraction for a long time. There was a few rooms which were impressive but not worth wasting 3 to 4 hours to see these. If you go on a busier day, I think it would have been a nightmare.
I have been to several mines and carrvans which I enjoyed, but this is not done well.
