    The most interesting part of the mountain range, from both natural and scenic points of view, is the Pieniny Właściwe range. Summits here are beautifully jagged and the valleys often form rocky gorges. The northern faces slope gently into the valleys; the southern and eastern picturesque limestone cliffs (which are up to 300 metres high) drop down suddenly to the Dunajec river.

We had a wonderful time hiking in Pieniny Mountains with Maciej (Matthew). He was very knowledgeable about the area and very personable. His English was excellent and he was a very safe driver. He allowed the tour to develop as we went along. When we wanted to hike more he adapted to our needs. He very much went along with the flow. We would not think twice about recommending him for a tour. Poland active has a lot of different tours. I wouldn’t think twice about booking any tour with Matthew. Wonderful experience.
