    Going rafting down the Dunajec river is one of the most beloved and classic tourist attractions in all of Poland. The tour begins around 8:00 am from the center of Krakow, or from your place of accommodation in the city. After about 2 hours, you will reach the boating center, where you will board a traditional wooden watercraft, operated by a river guide in customary regional dress. This stunningly scenic water route will gently take you 15 kilometers downstream, underneath legendary mountain peaks and alongside thick woodlands and winding nature paths. You may even spot some curious local wildlife along the way!

Located in Dębno Podhalańskie, it’s dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel, and is part of the Wooden Architecture Trail around Krakow. This important and distinct church is one of the trail’s highlights.

Super experience. Maciek is amazing. We were a group of 3 adults and 2 kids booked to the river rafting and from the moment we met he was friendly, kind, very experienced and great with our small kids. We had a good time and Maciek suggested a few things to try based on his knowledge and I'm glad we did! Maciek knows a lot and I'm sad that we met only at the end of our holiday as I would have liked him to take us on other outings especially to the country/mountain areas outside Krakow.

We were picked up on time by Wojciech. He was a fantastic guide. From start to finish we were looked after perfectly. It is quite a long drive but absolutely worth it. The scenery is outstanding. We enjoyed seeing traditional wooden houses and 15th century Church of St Michael the Archangel. Rafting in Dunajec was pleasant. The rafts hold 12 people and it was quite busy. I recommend if you visit Krakow allow yourself 6 days as there is so much to see and do.

One of the highlights of our trip. The weather, scenery and atmosphere was perfect. Every new bend in the river was another sigh of awe. We were lucky enough to spot a bear cub by the river. We were the only Polish speaking couple on the raft, so we had fun translating as some of the comments the raft steerer was coming out with were hilarious.
