Krka was nice but I preferred Plitvice. However this may be due to the fact that we were not allowed enough time to see it properly.
Firstly this is not a tour it's basically a shuttle service. When we arrived it was very confusing what we had to do, no one explained how it worked. When we arrived the driver gave us our tickets and told us to meet back at the bus at 3pm that was it. 3pm seemed very early and only gave us about 5 hours, which may sound a lot but it was not enough time to see the second waterfall higher up. Turned out you have to take a boat and buy a separate ticket which is not included in this trip. The boat trip takes 4 hours to visit an island and get to the top waterfall. However that's 4 hours from when you get on the boat (which takes maybe an hour to get to (not sure exactly as it depends how long you take on the way stopping for photos etc).
Regardless, it was impossible to do it in the given time, this was so dissapointing. And also there was a shorter boat trip to an island that took 2 hours, however when we got to that point around 11am, the next boat did not leave until 2.30pm! so again was impossible to do.
Therefore after seeing the first waterfall all we could do was walk around the area wasting time because although we did not have time to take the boat trip, we then had too much time stuck in the same area which was really frustrating. So we spent the last 2 hours on the little beach area at Skradin where you can swim. Also worth noting that if you do make it to the top waterfall, swimming is no longer permitted - something that the guy who worked in the information office there did not even know as he told us we could!
Basically this 'trip' was badly organised and not thought out, why we had to leave so early I don't know, and why the 'tour' company did not factor in time to allow us to see it all is beyond me, they should make it clear. Some reviews say they got 6 hours so they were lucky, but seemed on our day the driver just wanted to get home early.
If possible I would say try and do the trip yourself, drive, private taxi, not sure if you can get a train there, but I would recommend doing it in your own time so as you can enjoy it all at your leisure, and not be rushed to get back.
The other thing to note is that they charge for using the toilets at Krka which is terrible considering they have lots of food and drink kiosks, so have some 5 Kuna coins at hand!
My 3 star rating is for the so called 'tour'/shuttle service. Krka itself was lovely but I can't really rate it as I didn't see most of it!
