We had a great day! Even though the weather wasn’t the greatest Lovro did an amazing job at making it a fun day. He is super informative and entertaining! We got lots of time to wander on our own and take great photos!

We enjoyed our day despite the cooler weather. Skradin is pretty but not a lot to do there out of season unless you want to sit in a cafe. We walked up to the fortress and then around the edge of the bay a little. Krka is very pretty (a bit like the Peak District for those English amongst us). Nikola our guide was very helpful, restating the instructions and making sure that everyone was clear on where and what time to meet. He enabled us to join a WhatsApp group via a QR code and posted pictures of the meet points which was helpful. On the drive over, Nikola gave a brief history of the local area, pointing out Klis fortress etc before letting us sit back and enjoy the views.
I felt like there could have been some sort of guidance/information about the Krka waterfalls or Skradin once there as really this was just transport to the venue rather than an organised trip in my mind. We found lots of information about the importance of Skradin while exploring the fortress but feel like a brief intro once off the coach would have ‘set the scene’. Similarly with the boat trip or arrival at the waterfalls, maybe just a 5 min history or origin story before we all went to explore?
The waterfalls are easy to get around and we managed a few loops with lots of stops so don’t be alarmed looking at the map that you won’t get round!
Once we returned, Nikola texted the group with loads of recommendations on restaurants etc which was a nice touch.
For those interested, there looked to be a small car museum a 5 mins walk from Skradin which we would have visited if we hadn’t found it right at the end!!
