We did the 2-day kruger national park safari with Abrie. The park is beautiful but without a good guide you will miss a lot of the experience. Abrie grew up in the Kruger so he isn't just booksmart, he experienced the life there himself. He can answer all your questions about flora and fauna and teaches you a lot while on the trip. He speaks English very well and with us he did fit in real quickly.
With this trip you enter the Kruger at 6AM and try to spot as much as possible. We slept at a nice bungalow in Pretoriuskop. The second day we tried to spot rhinos. Sadly due to poachery there aren't a lot of them left.
All over I would really recommend this safari!

My partner and I were booked into this through our holiday company and it was absolutely incredible. Over the two days we were able to see all of the 'Big Five' with some truly special experiences.
On the first day we were part of a bigger group and on the second day it was just my partner and myself and our guide, Marinda, who was fantastic. We were warned at the start of the first day that it had been quite quiet that week and somewhat hard to find certain animals, but Marinda was great at spotting what was around and very knowledgeable about the various animals we saw. We managed to have some great experiences with different animals, particularly some giraffes and buffalo.
The second day in particular was one of the best days of our life, as we managed to see a rhino and have a herd of elephants cross the road all around us. Marinda managed to get us into some great positions to see a leopard in a tree a little distance away (I still have no idea how she managed to spot it whilst driving without looking for it with binoculars but that she was brilliant at spotting things the whole time) and then was able to get us really close to see a group of lions crossing the road despite there being a lot of cars trying to see one of the few glimpses of lions. The best moment, however, was when Marinda managed to spot a leopard in a tree just by the road, allowing us to get an absolutely amazing view.
We were allowed to spend as much time as we wanted watching and taking photos of the animals, and the various guides were able to communicate with each other about potential spottings which would have made finding animals much easier than if we tried to do it ourselves.
A huge thank you to Africa Spear and Marinda for making our first safari so spectacular. Without a doubt one of the best experiences of our lives.
