This private tour that starts from either Kusadasi Port or Kusadasi/Selcuk Hotels, depending on your preference. You'll explore the impressive ruins of the city, including the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Odeon, and the Great Theatre. The tour also includes a visit to the House of the Virgin Mary, a small stone house located on a hill outside of Ephesus. In addition to Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary, the tour also includes a visit to the Basilica of St. John. The basilica was built in the 6th century and is said to be the burial site of John the Apostle, one of the twelve disciples of Jesus. We had a single full day to explore Ephesus and our guide Umut showed us an amazing time while fitting in a personalized set of locations Umut was such a joy to talk to about the history of Ephesus, Rome and more. The sites he took us to were of course amazing, and the we were able to visit some less touristy food places with some authentic local favorites.
