We will start visiting one of the main highlights in Turkey, Ephesus, one of the 12 cities of Ionian League (an ancient Greek district on the western coast of Asia Minor) is located near Izmir. As a port city it was a major departure point for trade routes into Asia Minor. Walk through history along marble streets lined with wonderful public buildings, among them the Baths of Scholastica, the Library of Celsus; it was built in the beginning of the 2nd century A.D. by Gaius Julius Aquila to be a memorial to his father Gaius Julius Celsus Polemanus, the proconsul of Province of Asia. , the Temple of Hadrian and The Grand Theater are two of the most impressive buildings in Ephesus. Grand theatre was built in 3rd century B.C and it was later expanded to 24.000 spectators by the Romans in the 1st century A.D. TERRACE HOUSES can be visited by paying the entrance fee

I rarely ever leave reviews but we had such a great time on this tour I feel compelled to leave a review we were not expecting much for Turkey It was one of the stops on our cruise and we weren’t sure what we were going to do there because I was on a family trip with seniors one of which had mobility issues and teens so we weren’t sure the ruins or Ephesus were going to be the best choice for us not to mention all the tours with our boat were for large groups and involved a lot of walking so we opted for this tour instead and it was the best choice we could’ve made our tour guide Conchita was absolutely amazing she customize the tour to our needs and not only did we have our own private tour guide, driver and transportation but she was also able to communicate with my Spanish-speaking parents and do the tour in both Spanish and English for our teens so everyone in our family participated. Conchita was a wealth of knowledge she knew the best times and routes to everything so we avoided most of the crowds got great pictures she was full of knowledge and details and history regarding the ruins and Turkey she made everything interesting for everyone she also recommended a great local restaurant explained all the dishes and was kind enough to join us for lunch which made everything so warm friendly and personal. Overall i highly recommend this tour and if you can try and get Conchita as your guide. We all left hoping to be back again

The tour was great, 10 out of 10. Our guide met us at time in our hotel, the transfer to Ephesus was very comfy - fresh air conditioned mini-van. The guided tour to Ephesus took 2,5 hours, and it was packed with information. I enjoyed it a lot, actually, as our guide was knowledgeable and experienced guy, he really made his excursion very interesting. Moreover, they made us a huge favor and provided private transfer back earlier than the rest of the group. Many thanks for that!
