    We will start visiting one of the main highlights in Turkey, Ephesus, one of the 12 cities of Ionian League (an ancient Greek district on the western coast of Asia Minor) is located near Izmir. As a port city it was a major departure point for trade routes into Asia Minor. Walk through history along marble streets lined with wonderful public buildings, among them The State Agora, Odeon, Memnius Monument, the Temple of Domitian, , Polio Fountain, Curetes Street, The Trajan Fountain, The Baths of Scholastica, Hadrian Temple, Latrina, Celcus Library, the gate of Mihridates and Mazues, Commercial Agora and The Grand Theater are two of the most impressive buildings in Ephesus. Grand theatre was built in 3rd century B.C and it was later expanded to 24.000 spectators by the Romans in the 1st century A.D.

Our guide was on time and had a very nice vehicle for us. He explained what we were about to see, but I felt very rushed as we walked through offices. The bulk of the time we spent encouraging us to look at how carpets are made, and pottery is painted.

What a wonderful discovery this company was! Our tour was booked quite last minute but all communication with Fevzi was very prompt and we paid the same for our private tour for two as we would have been charged for a group excursion from the ship. We were met at the agreed time and could not have been happier with our brilliant guide, Arzu and the most luxurious transport imaginable. The morning was paced perfectly to take in all the main sights at this extraordinary place while enjoying Arzu's encylcopaedic knowledge. And the decision to include a visit to the Terrace Houses was a wise one. I have no hesitation in recommending the services of Ephesus Shuttle and hope I have the opportunity to use them again in the future!

Husband and I were pleasantly surprised to have Nafia run our tour with only the 2 of us . She made our visit to Kasadasi worth remembering and enjoyable despite a rainy chilly day. Nafia is very well versed in all things Ephesus and we were able to learn so much from her. We took an optional stop after our tour to a Cooperative where the art of making silk rugs were demonstrated , from the cocoons and how to remove the silk to the time consuming art work of looming the many silk strands. We had an enjoyable time getting to know this ancient place and also met her travel agency since we did not have Turkish Lira to pay for the tour and her well deserved tour. The driver was great and kept us safe on the road.
