We will gather in our cozy kitchen before leaving with our local foodie to go shopping at the famous and vibrant food market at the Plaza de Lugo in downtown Coruña. We will see the varieties of sea food and fish just coming from the boats and ready for selling. We will be immersed in the trading environment with locals. A great opportunity to learn about the Galician gastronomic culture. Pencil & Fork will buy all products we will need for the cooking session and we will return to our kitchen just a few minutes walking from the market. Once there we will be ready to roll up our sleeves and start cooking. We will finish eating everything we have prepared with a glass of local wine, red or white, is up to you. Are you in? Menu: -Surprise snacks (depending on the market) -Mussels with Godello -Scallops with ham -Natural cockles -Paella with cockles and squid -Santiago cake (almond cake)

We visited Spain over the summer and we were desperate to see A Coruña. Our friends recommended to us Food Market visit and cooking workshop. Why not? Local market is very colourful with LOTS of seafood. Short walk to the market surrendered by beautiful buildings. And then comes the cooking and eating:) All explained by lovely Spanish (English speaking) people. Plenty of interesting facts and anecdotes :) We had an amazing time. Highly recommend. Thank you to our hosts.

Ana and David are very welcoming, and speak fluent English. I had a lovely experience, visiting the fish market, talking about food, travel, A Coruna and much more, drinking wine, and eating fresh, tasty seafood. I would highly recommend this workshop, and Ana and David's hospitality.
