All the route is made on a private cattle farm on the slopes of the Volcano passing through pristine creeks along lush primary forest and pasture land where is posible observe herds of sheep, horses and cattle.! The tour takes average 2:30 hours and goes from the lowest to the highest part of the property to a point of view very close to the Volcano Where is posible observe the whole volcano building from base to the top and make wonderful pictures.! When the whether calls, we serve a cold drink made with our organic fruits, banana, pineapple, papaya or lime.!

Traveler pickup is offered

All clients will be picked up at their hotels between the route from La Fortuna downtown to the Arenal Volcano National Park. The pick-up time can vary between 10 to 15 minutes, so we recommend that you be ready at the time indicated.

  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

AMAZING company! We felt like family at Don Tobias stables. Our guide was Kendall and the experience was nothing short of incredible. We will never forget our experience. We loved every minute and the staff at Don Tobias. We will definitely be back.

We can’t say enough good things about our tour!!! Will was a fantastic host and guide… you could tell he loved his work as much as we loved the experience. The horses are loved here… they run free under the shadow of the volcano… coming down to the stables for food and tours You could tell the horses enjoyed working together… my horse was a companion to my wife’s, enjoying the views as much as we did. Two and half hours of wildlife and vistas. Finished off with fresh fruit, coffee and freshly made juices. To be honest people should come here just for the homemade cheese… so good

What an experience! Will was our guide. He had so many great stories and was incredibly knowledgeable. The horses were so healthy, the grounds were beautiful. At the end of our tour we were offered fruit, fresh pineapple juice and cheese that was made on site that morning. This tour is well worth it. The views were amazing, Will has the best ‘office view’ Thank you!
