The most convenient shared shuttle service between Civitavecchia Port and Rome Centre. The bus stop is located just outside the Port pedestrian passage at Largo Della Pace. To catch the bus to Rome, you must take the free shuttle service, before, from your dock and our staff will greet you at your arrival in Largo della Pace. The journey lasts 60/70 minutes and you can choose to drop off at the Vatican area (Via Crescenzio 19) walking distance to St.Peter's church and Vatican Museum or at Termini Station (Piazza Indipendenza) where you can start your sightseeing of Rome. For the return, you need to attend the chosen bus stop (Vatican: Via Crescenzio 2 at 03:30 pm or Termini: Piazza Indipendenza at 03:45 pm) at least 15 minutes before the departure to validate your presence and redeem again your ticket to get on board.

The drive was safe, comfortable and scenic. Our guide made it clear where and when to reconvene. We were on a cruise and this was a good way to get a ride from port into Rome, dropped off either NEAR Vatican City or NEAR the Colosseum. We did the latter and had to figure our where the closest Metro station was to ride two stops to the Colusseum - a little direction to find that would have been helpful. Do note that this IS roundtrip for the price of the ticket - when we wrote in to confirm that, we were told we would have to buy a return ticket too. It’s a scenic drive and they are fully aware of your timing to get back to the ship.
