    You can't miss the traditional Nuvola cake: the shape resembles that of a large plumcake, while the texture is something halfway between panettone and pandoro, but much softer ... like a cloud, precisely! Inside it, a filling of apricot jam! After all, don't miss the ice cream and coffee, because a respectable Italian lunch can only end with a good espresso!

    Here you can enjoy one of the most traditional dishes of Como: Polenta uncia/ polenta with braised meat. The queen of the table in the Como area as well as in the whole Alpine area. Polenta here is obtained by mixing and cooking corn and buckwheat flour and then served with braised meat or with cheeses and melted butter (polenta uncia). Also the famous Sciatt, delicious and crunchy pancakes with a stringy cheese heart.

Chiara was our tour guide and she was very nice and knowledgeable. It was fun meeting other people on the tour and enjoying different foods and drinks. Highly recommend if it’s your first time in Como and not sure where to start.

A Delicious Experience – Highly Recommended! We had an amazing experience on the food tour in Como with Giada. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized and full of charm. Giada is a fantastic guide – warm, knowledgeable, and full of passion for her city and its culinary treasures. The tour took us to several carefully selected local spots, each offering something unique and authentic. From delicious cheeses and cured meats to freshly made pasta, traditional sweets, and local wines – everything we tasted was absolutely delicious and high quality. Giada explained the origins and traditions behind each dish, which made the experience even more interesting and enjoyable. What we really appreciated was the personal touch. Giada took the time to get to know the group, answered all our questions with enthusiasm, and created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere throughout the tour. It felt less like a guided tour and more like discovering Como’s food culture with a local friend. This tour is a must-do if you’re visiting Como. It’s a great way to explore the city through its food, learn about the local culture, and discover hidden gems you might not find on your own. We left full, happy, and with lots of great memories (and recommendations!). Thank you, Giada, for an unforgettable experience – we’d love to do it again!

We have enjoyed this food tour. We missed the first stop due to mishap in transportation so in the second stop, Mario, our local expert has kindly given us a bottle of wine to share. It was a full course meal from appetisers, wine, mains, gelato and coffee all coming from different places in the town! We also met this lovely family from Florida! I have taken photos for you to see!
