Garda lake hike was one of the best hikes I've had in years. This was my third hike with Guido and knowing, how experienced and fun person he is, I knew from the beginning, it would be anything but an ordinary adventure.
Even though it was a hike done in winter, we experienced summer, autumn and winter condensed in a few days of very picturesque surroundings. One of the top things for this hike was waking up and having dinner in bueatiful lake-side villages/towns and hiking in nature during the days. Doing this hike in winter had its particular beauty - it was not hot and created a rather comfortable feeling during the hike and at the same time, as it was off-season, it was not crowded and accomodation prices were significantly lower, than in summer.
When it comes to the difficulty of the hike - some days were easy and others were moderately challenging (in terms of endurance), but even for taugher days, knowing that we would end a day with aperitivo and dinner in a new magical place, made it lot easier. At the same time, it is a very photogenic hike, where I had plenty of photography opportunities every single day.
My advice would be to do this hike for 4 -6 days, as it gives opportunity to enjoy diversity this hike offers, without putting too much time restriction on yourself. It is a perfect hike, whether you are a solo hiker, or hiking with family and/or friends, and with Guido you can stay assured, it will be fun and safe experience.
