  • Strollers prohibited : to visit the castle, please leave your stroller in the cafeteria (unsupervised) and prefer baby-carriers.
  • Limited number of berths in front of the castle for private vessels. (depth of water shallow).
  • Pets are not admitted in the Castle. However, places are reserved for them at the entrance .
  • Dress code required by our regulations: entry refused to anyone who arrives topless, in bathing suits and/or bare feet.

The castle itself and the surrounding scenery are amazing and breathtaking. You can witness many layers of history in the castle, in addition to the aesthetic features of it where art and beauty intertwine with each other. This is a must-see venue for anyone visiting Switzerland, even just for a few days. In addition, if you have the time, don't restrict yourself with only visiting the castle, but explore the surrounding area by taking a walk along the coast of the Lake. I did so by walking on foot from the castle to the Montreux train station. It takes only little than half an hour.

Un cadre idyllique, mais le château est bien vide, très peu d'armures, armes, ustensiles etc. Les informations dans le château sont également très succinctes, le guide audio (que je n'ai pas pas pris) me semble indispensable. Un château incontournable dans la région mais je recommanderais plutôt le château de Grandson et ses nombreuses armures et collections d'époque pour les fans du moyen-âge.

We visited the castle today as a part of a “My Cruises” tour. Joel was our castle guide, he was so interesting and funny. We thoroughly enjoyed his tour of this beautiful historical site. He really made it come alive for us. I’m so pleased we were able to visit
