Hop on a small group tour with a personal service that takes you along the route of Goðafoss waterfall, Lake Mývatn, Dimmuborgir Lavafield, Námafjall geothermal, Psudocraters and the Grjótagjá Cave. If we have time, depending on cruise ships departure time, we visit the Mývatn Naturebaths, where you will get an opportunity to dip into the geothermal water (note that the entry fee, a bathing suit and a towel is not included) or enjoy some refreshments at the inhouse café with a scenic view.

We were very surprised by this tour. We had no idea there were so many beautiful places to see near Akureyri. There we some stops we knew would be amazing, but some of the other stops really surprised us with how beautiful they were in person. If you have limited time, this is definitely the best way to maximize your time.

Godafoss water falls was spectacular as were all the other stops on the trip. Our guide was fabulous. The small group trip makes it a must do.
