I booked a rental bicycle via a Dutch website and that was in fact Velo Service in Lecce. To cycle outside the city, I was obliged to take a different type of bicycle at EUR 25 / day instead of the one I booked online at EUR 15 / day. Anyhow I could rent a good bicycle for my excursion to the coast. The staff of the Velo Service was knowledgeable and took time to explain to me how to apply a quick fix in case of a flat tire. The route to the coast was bumpy at times, but it was through the natural park, which was beautiful. I highly recommend to take a bicycle tour to the countyside if you had an extra day to spend in Lecce.
