A wonderful small winery located 20 kilometers outside Lecce in Puglia. They specialize in reds based on Primitivo and Negroamaro grapes which are unique to the Salento region of Puglia. These make for some really wonderful, full bodied reds, that are not appreciated enough. Every wine that we sampled was very enjoyable, and especially as you moved up to their higher end wines, would easily compare with wines costing twice or three times as much in California. Alexandra’s English was quite good, and she guided us through the characteristics of the wines unique to Salento and the region. The tasting was accompanied by a charcuterie plate, including gluten free bread for my wife who is celiac. If you are in the area, would highly recommend a trip to Feudi Di Guagnano to sample some really great wines!

Cordialità, familiarità, ospitalità, semplicità. Gentilezza. Ottima organizzazione. Gianvito & company ci hanno " regalato" una domenica pugliese, come se fossimo tutti una famiglia. Tutto questo oltre all'ottimo vino, alla conoscenza e passione per esso, ed all'eccellenza loro... Il nero di velluto.. Premiato per il nono anno consecutivo su bibenda. Tutto fantastico. Bella la partecipazione a preparare la pasta di casa e le polpette ( con ingrediente "segreto") e " giocare" a fare l'enologo. Consigliatissimo.
