This guided food tour will take you to six of the best independent eateries in Leeds city centre, with plenty of food included at every stop. Expect cosy pubs, innovative restaurants, a visit to one of the largest covered markets in Europe, and an insight into the culinary history of Leeds and Yorkshire including the foods that were invented here.

Your tour guide (Ellen or Lynda) will tell you about each venue, some of the history of Leeds, food-related facts, a ghost story, and even a cheese joke or two. You won't go hungry! Dishes have been carefully selected to showcase the best of each venue, offer a variety of cuisines, and make sure that you're full by the end. You can expect a mixture of individual portions, sharing boards and main courses split between two. Things like tacos, fish finger sandwiches, cheese boards and more! You'll have an enjoyable afternoon of food, drink and good conversation with your friendly tour guide.

We have just returned from a lovely afternoon exploring some food places in Leeds. We live locally and apart from one venue we had not been to any of the others. With the lovely Ellen guiding us through the tour we ate in 6 different places all very unique and quirky in their own way. Book this tour if you’re from Leeds to find new places to try and if you’re not from Leeds do this tour as a sample of where you can go for something different. A summer afternoon we spent in good company and lots of delicious food. Thank you Ellen.

Absolutely brilliant tour. Perfect combination of cuisine's with plenty of food! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to explore the Leeds food scene some more and find some hidden gems! Ellen was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable. Such a brilliant all round package!
