In addition to its rich winemaking history, Palácio da Bacalhôa is also renowned for its impressive art collection. Begin your visit with a tour of the Quinta da Bacalhôa vineyards, where you will learn about the grape varieties, wine growing, and winemaking processes. Next, step back in time as you explore a 15th century building within the estate, followed by a visit to the beautifully manicured Buxo Gardens and Casa do Lago. This part of the tour will culminate in a wine tasting session where you will savor four exquisite wines: One white, Two reds, and a Muscatel. After the winery experience, travel to the charming city of Setúbal, renowned as the heart of Portugal’s fishing industry. We had the most amazing time. Marcus was our driver and he told us so much about the local area. We got to visit a local mill before our tour and were then taken to a lovely local bakery where we ate delicious pastries and excellent coffees. The wine tour we informative and Sonia we very generous with her time and expertise. I would highly recommend this experience to a friend.

Great experience and met great people! The 4wd ride through the adjacent town to get espresso was so fun. We also got to tour a windmill where grain is pressed. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided background for the uniqueness of the wines from this region so close to the ocean. Recommend!
