    This Marian center of pilgrimage evokes the apparitions of Our Lady to the three little shepherds Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta, who took place in 1917 and were recognized in 1930. The Sanctuary includes the Chapel of Apparitions, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, the Prayer Hall and the Basilica of the Holy Trinity. They complement the Sanctuary, the Retreat Houses of Our Lady of Sorrows and Our Lady of Carmo and the Paul VI Pastoral Center.

    • The Chapel of the Apparitions was built on the exact spot where Our Lady appeared to the shepherd children, near the holm oak that once stood there. The tree no longer exists, as it was gradually taken by pilgrims who came to see it.

It was a memorable visit to the Santuary of Fatima, be able to join in praying the rosary and after wards hear the mass at the Chapel of the Apparitions. A truly great experience particularly to us of catholic faith.

As a Catholic being at Fatima was a remarkable experience! It was great to see people from different nationalities sharing same faith and feeling priviledge God allowed us to be there…B

Lovely day. The tour was just the right amount of time. This was a self guided tour, but our tour escort gave us much valuable history and information on our drive up.
