    The tour will start from Lisbon, and we will drive towards Fatima. Our guide will be explaining all the history around Fatima and the Virgin Mary apperence to the litlle shepherds in 1917. You will have free time to assist mass.

The private tour was amazing and more so our guide Pedro! (just 2 of us/couple) He encouraged and allowed us to adjust our visit times at each location to assure we enjoyed our interests. He is fantastic in shared knowledge and attune to how much you'd want to absorb. Some private tours fire-hose you with information and force a schedule without personal accommodations. I highly recommend asking for Pedro and sharing with him your personal interests.

We booked our November 2022 tour through Viator.com. Booking online was easy after I researched all of our options. I picked this tour for myself and 4 close friends because it was private and would allow us to tailor activities to our diverse and specific interests. Pedro was an amazing guide! He picked us up at our rented Lisbon apartment in a private van. He was easy to work with: friendly, personable and thoughtful. I'm so glad we booked this tour because he provided education and history about the sites and encouraged us to really make the tour our own! We decided to spend our day in Fatima and Obidos and skip Nazare. Fatima was special, felt as sacred as I had imagined, and we were able to attend part of the mass as planned. I was able to light candles, visit the old and new basilicas and visit the site where the 3 children encountered the Virgin Mary. My favorite memory of our tour is walking through the small town of Obidos to climb the wall which surrounds the town. We did it together under a light rain that brought us a few rainbows. We are very used to taking our own selfies however it was so nice our guide Pedro took amazing pictures and video for us! We ended up spending a week in Portugal and booked several private days trips through Viator! Thank you, Pedro!
