This wine tasting is hosted by myself, Salvador Borges de Castro, a local sommelier with a professional expertise for Portuguese wines. I host this event in my own home, which makes it personal and authentic. I introduce and share a selection of 5 different wines in every tasting session. No wines are ever the same for every event. Clients love the fact that I select wines that represent the various wine regions in Portugal. So for those visiting Lisbon, they get the chance to taste different wines sourced from all over the country. I also select lesser known wines. Often these wines are not available in supermarkets. Some of these wines are rare, produced with limited bottles and are difficult to find. After the wine tasting, nibbles of cold cuts and cheese platter, along with olives, crackers and other snacks are served to be enjoyed with the wines. Guests can then socialise, meet and chat with one another, share stories and conversations over glasses of wine!

I attended one of Salvador's wine tasting evenings on a recent holiday to Lisbon with a friend. It was such a lovely evening, and such a nice personal touch to be hosted in Salvador's beautiful and welcoming home. We met other fellow tourists from all over the world during our session, which was a really fun way to meet new people. Salvador's knowledge and expertise in Portuguese wine was extensive, and it's clear to see this is his passion! The wines we sampled were absolutely beautiful and I learnt so much about Portuguese wine from Salvador throughout the evening. A wonderful spread of nibbles was also provided that complimented the wine perfectly. I wouldn't hesitate in booking this experience if you find yourself in Lisbon, it was one of a kind! I went to Salvador’s wine tasting evening at his home in Lisbon when visiting the city with a friend. He was welcoming, enthusiastic about the wines that he’d sourced from all over Portugal, and supplied great nibbles to go alongside the wine. It was a lovely, educational evening and I’d definitely go back on future visits to the city, knowing that the wines vary at each tasting.

My husband and I went to a wine tasting event put on by Salvador in Lisbon. It was a fantastic evening, great tasting wines, a great selection of food to nibble on and so lovely to meet different people from all over the world. Salvador gave an excellent presentation of different wines in Portugal. We learned about the different regions, types of wine and got to taste a variety of excellent wines. Highly recommend booking an event with Salvador.
