Great full day with our guide George out of Lisbon. Definitely worth it if you want to get out of the tourist spots in Lisbon.

Susanah was exuberant in sharing her vast knowledge of Portugal with us! Her tour company, Van Gogh Tourism, can customize your travel itinerary. Susanah is a professional guide who continues her studies on all monuments/points of interest. The tour is in a comfortable Mercedes van with furnished bottled water. We toured the the caves of Mira de Aire, one of the 7 wonders of Portugal. Fatimas was an interesting Christian pilgrimage site. Lunch in Nazare along the beachfront was delicious, and just in time for Carnival! The waves were benign, unusual this time of year. The quaint walled city of Obidos was beautiful, topped off with a sip of ginjinha! A truly wonderful day!

We did a private tour with “Choose your Emotions Tours” and had one of the best experiences in Portugal. Pedro, our tour guide, was personable, knowledgeable and made us feel like we were hanging out with friends. Pedro directed us to points off interest and introduced us to some of the local drinks and a mouth watering dessert from Mira de Aires. We have done private tours in other countries in the past and this tour is one the best experiences we have had thus far. I would highly recommend this touring company if you want to relax and feel like you are among friends. L & T Hill
