Did you know Lisbon is one of the capitals of street art? The walls of Marvila are an open-air gallery where you can see the work of international graffiti artists celebrating Ibero-American culture. 15 huge pieces of art on buildings situated on the top of a hill, the Tejo in the distance… simply amazing. Even more amazing is to stroll through a neighbourhood that, at every new corner, uncovers a layer of the history of Lisbon: 17th and 18th-century convents and palaces, art deco industrial warehouses and buildings, vilas of factory workers and urban vegetable gardens. All of this at a 20-min drive from the centre, in the eastern part of Lisbon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our street art tour with Tiago. Not only did we see some parts of the city we would not have otherwise seen and some wonderful street art, but Tiago's enthusiasm for his city was infectious. We learned much about the city and the people that live there. It was fun and educational. I would highly recommend it.

We booked a 1.5hr tour with mon ami tours (via get your guide) - booking was simple, quick and pick up was on time. But now to the best bit…. The tour guide TIAGO. The trip, the art and journey was amazing but it was all down to him. Lively, energetic, honest, and truly genuine. He was knowledgeable and passionate about his city. We were stuck in some congested city traffic getting out be he didn’t let that hinder the trip, we ended up being with him just over 2 hours dropping us right to the door of our restaurant booking for lunch.. he provided many other recommendations for our stay. We were spoilt, truly. He has made our trip to Lisbon, thank you Tiago, we will be recommending you 120% to any our friends who visit. Totally worth the money. We hope to see you again soon!

Spent a wonderful morning with Thiago on his street art tour where we were shown some incredible pieces of work and told a little about the different neighbourhoods, the history of how they came about, and the artists. Absolutely loved it and would recommend to anyone to wants to see a different side of Lisbon.
