Portuguese Masterclass is a hands-on class for those interested in learning new techniques of cooking during their visit to Lisbon. Every Thursdays, from 6:30pm to 10pm , you can learn, cook and eat a gourmet meal and drink Portuguese wines.

We had Guy who taught our class of 8, two couples and one family with adult kids. There was unlimited wine and water along with tapas-like snacks to start. Each person chose a station like cutting veggies or deboning fish and then we all worked together in a sequence to get the food prepared. Guy has a lot of experience doing this so somehow the schedule all worked despite 8 people preparing and cooking at once lol. The food we ate was so delicious, maybe the best on the trip, and is one of our favorite memories of Lisbon.

This was a great class in cooking and understanding truly traditional Portuguese food. There were six of us in this particular class, and we all had a job to do in preparing our meal. It was very relaxed, great fun, and food is always a good way of bringing people together. Fillipa has a genuine enthusiasm about her food. Don’t be looking for Portuguese Fish Soup and Paste del Nata, this is authentic and you’ll learn lot.
