  • Protection: In our vehicles, alcohol gel and face masks will always be available free of charge, if customers need it. The driver will advise the use of a mask and hand cleaning with mandatory alcohol gel after all stops, before re-entering the vehicle.

  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Our tour was AWESOME. José picked us up on time and the van was comfortable. Him being the expert that he is recommended we leave earlier than 9:00am to avoid the lines and he was so right. We cruised right into Peña palace and on the way out saw massive lines. Thanks to Jose we were able to spend more times at the sights than in line. He was extremely knowledgeable about this history of each sights and broader Portugal. He pointed out things that other guides didn’t, yet didn’t over share - made sure you also had time to enjoy them on your own. His parking, route and system are all extremely efficient, we saw all 4 of the big sights in one day and didn’t feel rushed at all. I should also mention he took us to lunch at one of his favorite spots - there wasn’t an English speaking person in there, but it was delicious - as authentic as it gets. He did the same on the way out of town with a legit Portuguese bakery. Jose is very personable and friendly and I couldn’t recommend this trip enough if you want to see all of Sintra in one day.

From beginning to end this was an amazing experience, made even better by Jose’s enthusiasm, knowledge and infectious energy. Jose arrived early to pick us up and on the way to Sintra he told us about the history of Portugal and Sintra. The tickets for each site were purchased for us in advance so we didn’t have to figure out timing, all we had to do was show up. Jose led us through each site and provided in depth commentary about what we were seeing and the meaning behind it. He was incredibly knowledgeable and kind and made the experience something to remember for a lifetime. He also took us to a great little local restaurant and when we asked what time we should be done eating by, he had the perfect response of “whenever you’re done, you’re supposed to enjoy not watch the clock.” I cannot recommend Lisbon on Wheels and the Sintra Monument Tour (especially with Jose!) highly enough!
