Having our own driver was the best way to enjoy this magical day. Picked up at our hotel, we bought tickets online on the way for the Park, Moorish Castle and Pena Palace at 11:30. We entered the park about 9:15 and went straight to Moorish. We LOVED this hike that took about an hour plus a WC break at the end. Driver was waiting and took us to Palace. Queue for 11:30 admission was already forming near the palace door. We were inside about an hour and then walked the gardens a bit on way back to driver. We then went to Sintra old town to shop and lunch. Then off to western most point of Europe and a drive to Caiscais for a walk along pretty beach and shops. A terrific day made even better by an attentive driver and our own pace. Perfect!

Nuno was an excellent guide who went out of his way to make sure our tour of Sintra was a great experience. He had a true passion for Portugal, was incredibly knowledgeable, and was great with the kids. Highly recommended.

Carlos was knowledgeable, a great driver and fun guide. He had a clear plan that just about perfect in terms of accommodating everyone's desires. Great lunch at a full service restaurant was a real treat and a bargain I didn't think existed. Sintra is truly wonderful but be prepared to walk uphill and stairs.
