This well-kept site is the largest remaining site of this nature in the Iberian Peninsula, and the structures date back 6th millennium BC. Alentejo region - Almendres Cromlech contains numerous Neolithic stone formations. Worth a visit however you do need a car as no local transport. If you’re wondering whether it’s worth the cost you can see Evora on the same day.
