We had an excellent guide and more, it was a personalized tour from start to finish, very professional, friendly and fun, the places Tomar and Almourol are wonderful and full of charm, they should be on the list of visits in Portugal. Mr. Eduardo Manuel Silva was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Knights Templar in Tomar. And you could tell he enjoyed sharing his knowledge. Without his expertise we would not have learned as much if we had toured the convent and Castle on our own. We did not feel rushed when we wanted to take photos. He took the time to show us a Roman aqueduct outside of the city. He shared a delicious non tourist restaurant with us. We returned from the tour with a greater sense and appreciation of the Knights Templar in Portugal. Give Mr. E. M. Silva a raise because he certainly deserves it.
