This is a great way to see Trakai without joining an organised tour. I picked up the bicycle at the agents office around 10:30am. The tour organiser had already booked my train tickets and it takes 10 to 15 minutes to cycle to the station. I got the 11:15am train from Vilnius station for the 30 minute journey to Trakai. It not too difficult to take the bicycle on the train, but you do have to push it up some steps to reach the platform. There was plenty of space to store the bicycle on the train. The tour organiser provided me with an e-map and made some helpful suggestions of where to go. Trakai station is right next to the lake where Trakai Island Castle is located and you can spend some time cycling around the lake before you visit the castle itself. The area is very beautiful and this is a good way to enjoy the scenery while getting some exercise cycling. I was also able to cycle to the Hill of Angels, which is in the same area. I would definitely recommend this tour.
