It was a great tour but unfortunately i came during the dry season so there was no water coming off the falls.. However i wasn't going to let that stop me from viewing it. My tour guide was soo gracious and was very knowledgeable about the history of the falls. I would definitely come back!!

I have visited Iguazu, Victoria Falls and Niagara Falls (rated in this order).
Althought Iguazu is much more spectacular than Victoria, still Victoria Falls are well worth a visit. I had to travel from Israel to South Africa and made the detour by Zimbabwe just to see the falls and it was worthwhile.
Then I crossed the border to Zambia and took the flight to South Africa.
There are lots of contradictory opinions in the web on the requirement for yellow fever vacination when arriving from Zambia to South Africa. I took the trouble to go to a traveller's vaccination center and find out. There is no such requirement.

You miss out on so much if you do not have a rain jacket, especially during the high water season of March/April.
The Falls from the Zambia side is only 20% of the entire Victoria Falls. The day previous we had hired a t tour guide for the Zimbabwe side of the Victoria Falls (80% of the total falls) and believe it was well worth our effort and money,
So coming to the Zambia side from Livingston we where prepared.
After paying and signing into the falls we where briefed that there illegal tours in the park and not to use them.
As it was the highest of water flow period you couldn’t see much looking at the Falls due to the sheer water spray, when the spray cleared it was magnificent.
Spectacular views looking back over the Victoria Falls Bridge.
We walked across to Danger Point. Hang on as you cross the door Bridge here too, some people slip due to sheer speed and capacity of the water run off on the bridge.
I also got stung by a bee, so be careful people with allergies.
Suck the view up as they are incredible.
As long as you are fit and able and elderly people have decent walking shoes (and prepared to get them saturated), I highly recommend.
I walked this side of the Falls wearing flip flops.
No wifi at the entrance of the Falls from the Livingstone side.
It is between $USD5-7for a taxi from Livingston to the falls. Between $$USD5-10 for a return taxi trip.
