A fantastic way to get acquainted with the city of Noumea. David was our guide and his knowledge and commentary made the tour. Cannot forget the driver Captain Mandalay silent but smooth trip. Pricing was nearly 50% cheaper than the cruise yellow version and the revenue stays on the island not heading off to Carnival

We had booked the Tchou Tchou train through the cruise line, which then changed the times on us to one which didn't suite, so we had to cancel that. After getting off the ship, we came across the green train at a fraction of the cost for a similar excursion, so it turned out we got the trip at a better time and a MUCH better price. It was a fantastic relaxing drive around the waterfront on the west side of Noumea, up to the lookout (at Ouen Toro I think it's called) where you had 20 minutes to take some awesome photos and then carrying on around the Eastern side returning you to the port area after a 90 minute excursion. I'm not sure who our guide was (I want to say David, but honestly can't remember), and they were very knowledgeable and provided a great narration of the region along with a bit of humour. The trip along the Western side, gave you some good options if you wanted to jump on the bus to head out somewhere for a bite to eat with fantastic views. Well worth turning up early and getting on one of the first trains to avoid any congestion.

Nice little trolly ride to see the area. Fast hour and a half. The addition of the hop on hop off, however, is a waste of time. No narration and follows the same route as the train..
