Fast boat maybe, but still on Bali time and pretty slow, you’ll lose half the day getting there and again on the way back - but Gili Air was totally worth it. Sorting tickets is challenging, if u have a private driver who can help you that’s good, but still check prices online. Has no problem with a return ticket, as I read some couldn’t be used to return after all, but we had no problem. That being said it is usually much cheaper to get one way and haggle on the island for ur return later. Different boats arrive/leave different times so worth checking this. Make sure you sit where the aircon vents are working otherwise it can get very uncomfortable for 90min journey
