We booked this light tour as a bit of pre-Christmas fun on the evening of the 23rd Dec. I was with my husband and 11year old son and a colleague from work booked with her sister and parents who were in their 70s. I’ve seen many reviews here about a tour guide who is called Bruce who sounds fantastic. I have no idea what our one was called - he was rude, joyless and took great offence when we challenged him that it wasn’t the Beatles who recorded Waterloo Sunset but the Kinks; “I’m a veteran with 20 years experience and a massive Beatles fan and they definitely did something here.” The tour went from bad to worse when he told us off for laughing “You can’t talk as I can’t do my job” and it eventually escalated with him calling one of our party “ignorant” and “embarrassing” and they kicked us off the bus while he called the police. The other guests and the driver was embarrassed - as were we for this amateur tour guide who needs to get better training. Will not be using Golden Tours again.

The trip was great! Definitely worth the money.
They started off by taking us round some historical places such as Westminster Abbey which was very interesting.
The guide was great and very knowledgeable.
The Christmas lights were amazing and they even put Christmas music on as we went round.
If you are looking for something to do to put you in the festive spirit, then this is the thing to do!
However, its very cold so wrap up warm.
