    your guide will introduce you to the history of Cardinal Wolsey’s creation which he gifted to Henry in 1528. We will stroll through the courtyards that were witness to great events. Passing under Ann Boleyn’s Gatehouse where she lived before she was executed, we will see the magnificent baroque palace, Fountain Court, created by Sir Christopher Wren for William III and Mary II. Our tour continues to the restored sunken gardens and then onto the vast Tudor kitchens of Henry’s creation. Finally, we will make our way to the Tiltyard (originally for jousting) for a mouthwatering Afternoon Tea. Our guide was very knowledgeable and went at a pace that suited us (I have a bit of a mobility issue at the moment). We learned a lot about the history of the venue. The tea across the street was also very nice - the complement of sandwiches and the desserts were extraordinarily tasty! All in all a good day out.

Geraint was well versed in Tudor history. Learned a lot. Tudor kitchens and Great Hall were very impressive. Hampton Court Palace is definitely worth venturing outside of central London.

Really loved this day out. The palace was beautiful. The guide was really knowledgeable and the tour was lots of fun. The afternoon tea was delicious too!
