Your 4-Hour Jack the Ripper private taxi tour will take you through the nooks and crannies of darkest Whitechapel.  Your Guide will be able to help you imagine the lives of the people who lived here and the atmosphere of terror that raged in 1888. Let your taxi driver guide tell you  about the murder mystery that shocked the world and still has everyone asking the question 'Who Did It?' Stop and enjoy some Fish n Chips (optional) and if there is time explore some more of London's ean end murky corners.
  • When your private tour is finished we can either recommend a drop off point that is in keeping with your themed tour to maximise the sights you see and fun you have that day. Otherwise we would be happy to drop you off anywhere in central London that suits you.
  • Your Taxi Tour Guide will pick you up from your London hotel or any other central London location that suits you. We will send you a SMS text to let you know your Taxi Tour Guide has arrived.

We can pick you up and drop of at any central London location or hotel. We will text you on the cell phone you provide us with before your tour. We will tell you the name of your guide and his/her cell phone number. They will let you know when that have arrived at the location.

Heathrow airport and Gatwick are not in central London. They are both over 1 hour's drive from central London. If you book a tour and want to be picked up from Heathrow, we need to arrange your transfer and additional charge.

    Spitalfields is a historic district in the East End of London, and it is closely associated with the infamous serial killer Jack the Ripper. During the late 19th century, the area was one of the poorest and most densely populated parts of London, and it was a hotbed of crime, prostitution, and social unrest. Listen to your guide tell you how Spitalfields area was also the site of several important developments in the investigation into the Ripper case, including the discovery of important evidence, such as the infamous "From Hell" letter, which is believed to have been written by the killer.

    Lets take you on a trip back to 1888 and visit the remaining notorious locations where the victims of Jack the Ripper worked to earn their living.

    The pub was in operation at the time of the murders and is said to have been a popular haunt for some of the Ripper's victims, as well as for the killer himself and his potential suspects. Two of the Ripper's victims, Mary Jane Kelly and Annie Chapman, were reportedly regulars at the Ten Bells, and it is believed that the last place Kelly was seen alive was leaving the pub with a man on the night of her murder. Some sources also suggest that the Ripper may have planned some of his attacks at the pub or used it as a base of operations.

Awesome experience doing the Jack the Ripper London tour. Lee was ebullient and very friendly and knowledgeable. He makes the trip so immersive and interesting. He also has ample supplemental information about all of the evidence that is known. It feels like we could literally crack the case wide open with all of Lee’s expert analysis and in-depth understanding of the facts. This tour is so well worth the money. Our driver and Jack the Ripper historian Lee, navigated us through the narrow alleyways and streets where 5 of the canonical victims were found. The information was captivating and informative. Some things we knew but there were plenty of gaps in our understanding. That’s where Lee was able to fill in the blanks and help us understand better. We feel like true history detectives.

My husband and I highly recommend this tour! Our guide, Lee, was phenomenal. He is extremely knowledgeable and personable and taught us so much about Jack the Ripper and East London’s history as well as interesting facts about other parts of London. You will love this tour with Lee!

Lee was fantastic! He picked us up at our hotel and took us for a 3-hr tour around the city stopping at four of the verified Jack the Ripper murder sites. His knowledge of Jack the Ripper and the city made our trip wonderful and we really enjoyed it. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in having a private driver tell you all the macabre stories with the knowledge that Lee has.
