First, if you are going to do this, purchase the any time fast track ticket in advance or plan on standing in line for quite some time. That being said, the view, if you can get to a window to see out, is spectacular, especially as the sun is setting, just time it right. The problem is too many people on the pod, especially ones with unsupervised children. The adult (some) quickly grabbed positions along the windows and spready out clothing and belongings acting as if the area was reserved just for them. Some even sat on the floor near the window. The purpose was to be able to take pictures, selfies and videos of the best shots at the best times, regardless of how it affected others. Then the kids, running around in circles screaming! The parents just let it happen. There really needs to be an employee in the pod to supervise, even if it raises the price of tickets. After discovering great views from other points nearby, I would say I would not do London Eye again. Check out the Shard, Sky Garden or even Horizon 22.
