A fun tour to do solo or couple or family (not for small kids tho). Our guide Mary was very knowledgeable, clear and loud (it’s an outdoor tour!) with some acting skills. This tour will also save you money on dinner as you won’t have much of an appetite afterwards! Enjoy :)

Some very interesting history put across in a humourous way. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Each stop was more grotesque than the previous so not for the faint hearted or children. We walked about 4km in total and this took just under two hours.

We hebben oprecht genoten van de wandeling doorheen deze wijk. Mary was een zalige vertelster, die alle verhalen grappig, aangrijpend en heel spannend vertelde. Ze had een zalige never ending energie en ze vertelde luid en duidelijk, wat fantastisch was voor ons als buitenlander! Ook mijn dochter van 12 kon alle verhalen goed volgen. De avond was heel interactief op meerdere vlakken. Mary liet ons kritisch meedenken, ze werd bijgestaan door meerdere ‘karakters’ zodat we veel meer meegesleurd werden in het verleden en we konden alles aan haar vragen. Het was bijzonder om meer te weten te komen over het vroegere Londen en hoe het was voor veel mensen om hier te wonen. We hebben super veel bijgeleerd en we mogen blij zijn om in de huidige tijd geboren te zijn. Mary kent de geschiedenis duidelijk door en door, en we hingen aan haar lippen bij elk verhaal dat ze ons te vertellen had. Ook de medespeler die af en toe opdook was prachtig om naar te luisteren. We kijken nu met een extra blik naar Londen, en al zeker met aan andere blik naar varkens ????. Oprecht bedankt Mary! Echt een absolute aanrader!
