This is a small group guided Cotswolds tour with a surprise visit to Broadway Tower and Cream Tea at Lower Slaughters! The Cotswolds is classified as an area of outstanding beauty, famed for its traditional villages, rolling hills, cream teas, sheep, and follies. It is one of the UK’s most popular tourist spot. Beautiful in all seasons, we will visit some of the highlights of the Cotswolds, all within a day’s driving distance from London. First we will go to Burford, known as the Gateway to the Cotswolds, an old Market town on the River Windrush that winds around a medieval church with a fascinating history. Then we will visit a variety of villages including Bibury with its Trout Farm and the old Weavers Cottages of Arlington Row. After a meander through nearby villages including Bourton on the Water, we will visit the iconic Broadway Tower for some great views across the countryside. We will then conclude the day with a traditional cream tea.

Quite possibly the best Cotswolds day tour around at the moment covering both the popular attractions (i.e. Burford, Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water) and somewhat less frequented hidden gems like Lower Slaughter and Broadway Tower! This new trip proved to be well researched and thoroughly planned, the day running like clockwork (thanks to our punctual and experienced driver Brendan) while being unrushed, allowing guests time to enjoy the natural beauty of their surroundings with our guide Kirsten, who was always on hand like a knowledgeable friend, or by themselves. Having taken Anderson Tours 2 Day Isle of Wight trip previously, they don’t scrimp and transport was a high end mini coach with comfortable seating and to finish the thoroughly enjoyable day - a generous serving of complimentary cream tea, jam and scones at The Slaughters Country Inn. Highly recommended!
