    Where the Nam Ou (Ou River) and Mekong River meet at Ban Pak Ou, two famous caves in the limestone cliff are crammed with myriad Buddha images. In the lower cave a photogenic group of Buddhas are silhouetted against the stunning riverine backdrop. The upper cave is a five-minute climb up steps (you'll need a torch), 50m into the rock face. Buy boat tickets from the longboat office in Luang Prabang.

    The Kuang Si Falls has 3 tiers leading to a 50-metre drop into shallow pools, before flowing downstream. The pools make great swimming holes and you can change into your swimwear at wooden huts close to the waterfall’s entrance.

  • Kuang Si Falls Butterfly Park, Luang Prabang, Laos
    Kuang Si Falls Butterfly Park, 300m before the Kuang Si waterfall, was opened in 2014 as a breeding sanctuary for Laos' myriad butterflies. Open to travellers, you can wander the beautiful gardens on a tour, as well as having your feet nibbled by miniature fish at the foot spa. Great fun for kids. There's also a cafe here with special entry and cake combination tickets available.

I have been to Pak Ou in 2022 . I really loved it. It was a great trip. I went there by boat and sharing with few people. It was a nice place and good experiences. I had to walked upstairs and see many Buddhist statues in the cave.

Une petite croisière der rêve sur le Mékong Le trajet enbateau aux grottes est pittoresque. Les grottes sont vénérées dans tout le Laos . Il y a quelque 4000 statues et statuettes dans les grottes, principalement du Bouddha, dont beaucoup sont recouvertes de dorures comme du papier. La première grotte est accessible par un escalier raide depuis le bord de la rivière, tandis que la deuxième grotte est un peu plus profonde à l’intérieur de la montagne Chutes de Kuang Si. ( trois chutes d’eau nivelées qui commencent dans des piscines peu profondes au sommet d’une colline et mènent à la chute principale avec une chute de 60 mètres )et visite d' un village hmong

1000+buddas in 2 Höhlen verteilt. Wir sollten dann bei der unteren Höhle 20000 KIP bezahlen&dasselbe dann nochmals bei der Höhle weiter oben,obwohl die in unserer Tour incl.war. Überall Kinder die Vögel in viel zu kleinen Käfigen verkaufen Halbtoter Adler in Minikäfig zur Schau gestellt. Für uns war es eine billige Touristen abzocke die man sich sparen kann.
