I'm so glad I did this tour! I wasn't going to go to Switzerland and not go up in the mountains! Groups doing the Jungfrau tour, Grindelwald tour and First tour were all on the same bus. We stopped first in Interlaken (about 40 minutes), which wasn't really necessary. It was just long enough to grab coffee and watch paragliders landing in the park. The directions from the guides were not entirely clear. First the Jungfrau participants got off the bus then we continued into Grindelwald and were "turned loose". I think because there was just 4 of us going up to Mount First, our guide accompanied us up from there and pointed out the activities that were open to us. Another participant on the tour joined me for a hike to the lake. The first part was most challenging (especially at that altitude) but we stopped to catch our breath and take pictures and it was well worth it. We had intended to do the mountain carts down (part-way) after our hike, but it had started raining by then. The flyer was closed because of weather. We had a good view of the glider on our way up and it didn't look worth the expense - not very long. We had been given our return train tickets so we returned to the Grindelwald train station on our own and back to Interlaken where we waited for the bus. I'm glad I did it, but note that it is not fully guided, if that is what you are looking for.
