This Pilatus Private Guided Day Hike has been designed to let you experience the best of the Lake Lucerne area.     You will ascend the famous Pilatus mountain with a cable car from Kriens. Once on top of the mountain, your guide will help you explore all the attractions, such as the Dragon Trail, Esel summit with a fantastic panorama, and many more. Perhaps you will even spot an ibex!

    You will have an opportunity to ride the steepest cogwheel train in the world: the Pilatus cogwheel railway. It descends at a staggering 48% grade down to Alpnachstad offering breathtaking views of the Alpine peaks of central Switzerland.

    In Alpnachstad, you will board a 100-year-old steamer ship for a leisurely 1,5h cruise back to Lucerne.

Had an awesome day hike with Andrea. He was responsive and helpful during planning, knowledgeable and enjoyable through the hike and brought us to some fun stops along the way home! Highly recommend.

As a recent arrival to Central Switzerland, I had spent quite a few weekends seeing the beautiful sights of Lucerne before I took the walking day tour with Andrea. However, Andrea and the mymountains team offer a unique and authentic Lucerne experience that you just can't find on a tourist map. Andrea and his team are charming and knowledgeable, and as my German/French/Italian is not up to scratch, able to communicate impeccably in English. My companion and I were treated to a wonderful day of stunning views, lush forest, lesser-known local landmarks and exceptional local produce. As we broke (home-made) bread on a pristine hillside, I think I got to understand a little of the true meaning of Swissness. Grazie mile Andrea! Joe
