We had a really great time on this trip. The visit to Karnak and the Valley of the Kings were absolutely spectacular, and we enjoyed every minute of the Nile cruise. Traveling with kids, two nights on the boat was just the right amount of time. The boat was relaxing, the pool on the top deck was amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious! It was well-worth the experience! Travelers probably should be aware, though, that the departure for the trip is actually the evening prior to whatever day you are signing up for on the website. You will also take an overnight train each time from Cairo to Luxor and from Aswan to back to Cairo, riding in seats rather than a sleeping car. The seats are comfortable enough, though, but they leave the lights and the air conditioning blasting on in the train all night long. Bring a sleep mask and maybe a sweater or a light blanket with you!
