My husband, son and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was our first day in Vietnam and after 20 hours of flying, we looked forward to having someone else “in charge” for the day. Our young guide, An, was the exactly what we needed. He promptly was at our hotel at 7:30 and we were happy to find out it was just us on the tour, plus the van driver (who was EXCELLENT). It was about ninety minutes to our first stop where we purchased a few items from the locals and could use the restrooms and get a snack. From there we went to the Citadel where we walked through beautiful gardens and temples and then on to the Mua Caves which was breathtaking. We walked most of the way to the top but it was a little hard on the jet lagged body so we didn’t go all the way (our son and A did….). An gladly took photos of us along the way. From there we went to an absolutely fabulous lunch buffet. After lunch we were able to bike around the gorgeous village and feel like a local. Then came the boat rides at Tam Coc….so much fun. We felt like we were in an amusement park but this ride went for over an over. The hard working boat rowers are amazing. We loved it all and are thankful to An for being such a wonderful guide.

We booked this tour through a local guide, and the entire experience was very well-organized. The team clearly communicated our pickup time in advance and arrived right on schedule. Our guide for the day was fantastic—very thoughtful and attentive. Despite the heavy rain, he bought us rain covers at no extra charge and happily took photos for us, even while getting wet himself. The food included in this package was good and suited our Indian taste buds well. Overall, the agency did a great job, and I truly appreciate their effort. My only suggestion for fellow travelers (not the agency) is to avoid visiting Ninh Binh during bad weather, as many activities may be unavailable.

Drake our guide is well spoken in English. Very friendly with good knowledge of the area. He was patient and encouraging seeing my wife struggling to climb Dragon Mountain in Ninh Binh. Lunch provided was delicious and in a very comfortable and nice restaurant. The boat ride on Tam Coc was scenic and so relaxing with beautiful caves and limestone slopes to feast your eyes on. Will highly recommend to go with Drake as your guide when visiting Hanoi. Also, our driver was super patient through our tour. Jimmy & Angela from Singapore
