This street art tour was great! The guide was extremely knowledgeable, not just about each art piece and artists, but also about the history of the area and the entire Johannesburg region. We had a wonderful conversation as we walked. It was a highlight of the trip to be able to speak candidly with a local in this way.

The Maboneng Art District walking tour offered a view most tourists might not see. The street art, the people’s art , the no apologies art. Johannesburg may be a little gritty and tense , but I am so glad my wife and I had the pleasure of doing the tour. KG our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and it showed that he was very connected to the scene. Security folks, street artists and young guys just hanging around seemed to know him and greeted him. We felt comfortable and secure. He answered many of my questions and could tell what we were most interested in. The murals were so cool. I’ll attach photos. KG went the extra step to help us out. He made sure we were comfortable with the whole experience. The tour was well worth it and I fully recommend it.
