Machame Route - 6 days, Kilimanjaro

Monkey adventures was the best choice! The gear was top notch, the guides were fun and kept us safe, the food was way better than expected, and we successfully submitted! I would 10/10 recommend monkey adventures!

A once in a lifetime experience, we will never forget. We came with the intend to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and left with an unforgettable experience that was not only about achieving our goal, but much more about the people who created these memories. Thank you, Goodluck, Juma, Luis, Baraka, Said, Athuman, Dolla, Godfrey for carrying everything we needed, setting up the camp and always smiling - you have our utmost respect and we were more than thankful to have you. Thank you, Isack, for cooking the most delicious meals at an altitude of 3000m and above and for always keeping us properly fueled to conquer the mountain. Thank you, Nelson and Faustin, for being the best guides we could have wished for. Thank you, for pushing us all the way to the top, for all the motivation, the professionalism, the dance moves and sharing your knowledge on people, nature and the area with us. I could not recommend Monkey Adventure enough. They have been Tip Top from the initial enquiry, through to post feedback. Sylvia was a fantastic coordinator, answered every question and providing a well constructed itinerary for our trip. Our trip consisted firstly, of a group tour on the kilimanjaro machame 6 days route, our guides Nasri and Daniel, along with the porter team were outstanding. They looked after us from start to finish, all with a smile on their faces. Keeping us motivated and entertained throughout., and the food provided was quality every day and plentiful. Making the top was certainly challenging but the journey is what makes a trip and the guys were a delight, and truly made it memorable. After our hike, we also went on a 6 day Safari through Central, Northern Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, on a Private Tour, this was part basic camping at some really nice and well maintained public camp sites. Along with a night in a luxury campsite lodge in central Serengeti. It was nice to try both options, given the more independency you get with basic camping, it was certainly fun having buffalo walking amongst the tents grazing in the early morning. As for our games drive, our guide Godson was very knowledgeable and described a great deal on the landscape, different animals we came across and their habits. We did however experience some hiccups, due to lack of communication being the main concern and what we felt was a lot of rushing around and not enough time when we came across certain animals. It was a bit disappointing and we voiced our concern but felt a little let down. However following our feedback, on our experience, we were again provided nothing but thanks and grace from Sylvia and the coordinating team, and we felt heard and acknowledged. I have no doubt I will be back on another adventure to East Africa and I will certainly be using Monkey for my booking.
