Introducing Funchal to the World - Food & Cultural tour Prepare yourself for a sensory journey across the island. On this 4 hour tour, our qualified local guide will led you on this food,wine and cultural experience trough the streets of Funchal, to off the beaten path places, to taste a variety of local specialties. Great way of learning about the food and culture of Madeira. Our guide Lenore was excellent, engaging and accommodating. The only suggestion I would make is to change the schedule of food and drink a bit, if possible.. In my humble opinion coffee and pastel de nata should be the last, after the ham, cheese , local wine and Madeira wine tasting..

This tour is a great way to learn more about the national foods and drinks in Madeira and the culture behind them. We went to a cafe for traditional tea and cakes (Pastel de Nata), then onto a resturant where we tried beef skewers, black scabbard, and many more! After that we tried lots of different fruits in a market, tried some Madeiran wine and then ended in a bar where we tasted and watched the national drink Ponsha being made. Our guide Anna was very knowledgeable and fun to talk to!
